Racial slurs should be illegal

“Sticks and stones may brake my bones, but words will never hurt me”, goes one old playground rhyme. We are usually taught to ignore a person who uses foul language, but everyone knows that words can really hurt a person. We all may think that words are just something said and all would be forgotten in a matter of days or even hours. People may think that racial slurs are just said for the fun of it and it does no harm at all. However, Racial slurs actually do hurt. They are targeted at innocent victims who are being criticized for their race. Racial slurs are lethal and can cause the same amount of damage weapons can, be it directly or indirectly. Racial slurs are cruel and bring about no advantages but plenty of disadvantages, and thus should be illegal.
